"The basic male tool kit is under threat." More good news from the Independent

It's official: Men really are the weaker sex - Science, News - The Independent

As usual, the Independent gives us a story whose sensational headline is nothing to do with its actual content. And, also as usual, they hit the mark, reeling me in like the fish I am. Nevertheless, it's an article worth reading. The gist is that the hormones responsible for male characteristics are increasingly vulnerable to chemical pollutants, according to a British study to be released tomorrow.

I'd heard this theory before but this is a strong argument. Will it change things, no I don't think so, we never really change do we, we move forward but we are still really the same.

How depressing. I'd heard of men's sperm counts becoming lower, but I hadn't heard of as many of these things happening to wildlife as well.

Hardy har! Though personally, I don't see what the problem is ;) :p

My favourite science-lite headline was "Birth Control Pill makes Women Choose Worse Partners" Worse? Define please! (Not worse, just not what they'd want if they weren't changing their hormone levels.)

Do you get the bad science web feed? Very interesting.

Oh, thank you for that suggestion! I just added it to my f-list.
