Just finished The Three Stigmata of Palmer Eldritch by Philip K Dick, 1964 (230 pages).

It was a pretty good book, but not his best. You can tell the drug use is really starting to eat his brain, also the first signs of Gnosticism which would totally take him over by the mid-70s.

The book actually started out very strongly, and dealt with such visionary topics as global climate change in a characteristically Dickian tongue-in-cheek manner (newspapers carry 'weather-syndrome' forecasts, for example). But as the book dragged on the religious themes got extremely tedious. So, I can only rate this a 3 out of 5.
